Review :
The right garden front of the famous Cottage Palace in Alexandria Park. Here's another foreshortening. There are good photos at spb-guide.ru.

By the organization of space it is really an English "cottage". "Modest abode" in the expression of the wife of Nicholas I. But in the design of the facade it is a bold experiment at the time in the use of Gothic temple architecture on a private home. Art Nouveau 70 years before Art Nouveau.

Cast-iron grilles painted white(!) form an arcade. Some of the windows in the house have a different color.
4
Negative space on the east wide lancet arch. I wonder what a majestic loggia the small volume of the house turned out to be.
5
Sharp triangular gable with decorative imitation consoles. The combination of gables and arches creates a complex contour of the roof around the perimeter of the house. In cottages with a four-pitch roof, forming a boring horizontal, it is very missing.
