Review :
Painted brick is having a moment, and white is especially in vogue. The shape of the house has shifted from vintage to current-a mix of Mediterranean and European urban homes.
2
There's no roof overhang. It makes the house look trim and young, like a sharp modern haircut.
3
The windows on the two floors differ in width, but a wide iron railing makes a graceful transition between them.
4
An arch sits well inside the triangular portico-an architectural pairing proven over centuries.
5
Black street lamps look their best against a white background.
6
The window frames aren't raised but recessed. The curved shape repeats in the metalwork above and in the entrance opening.
7
A staircase ties the floor-level openings together. You can throw a party by opening the windows and connecting the living room with the area in front of the house.
