This house is interesting for how it handles the concealed attic floor. Instead of the usual mansard roof, it uses a roof with a large overhang and cantilevers shaped as huge rafter tails.

The cantilevers aren't spread evenly but grouped in pairs. The windows sit in the bays between them.

The sprawling white Baroque brackets look like a mushroom cap from below. The building feels airy, with depth.

The balcony both projects and recesses. The facade planes are skillfully enriched with volume.

The corner rustication stones are unusually wide, with no emphasis on color.
