The sloped brick face is of course the most striking detail, and it gives the house its name: 45 Degree Brick House, in Gujarat. The bricks are laid without bonding, which makes them look even more unusual. The color is the red of Indian soil.2
Wide white lines of brick trim define the individual panels.3
Half the house is deliberately covered in stucco to set off the masonry as a design feature.4
The door has been done away with as a visual element; here it blends into the wall. The gold color recalls Indian jewelry.5
Also used in the relief masonry of the fence and parts of the house (see photo below).6
Laser-cut sheet-metal fences. Each section is unique.7
Frameless corner glazing dissolves this part of the facade into its surroundings, drawing even more attention to the bold form of the brick wall.8
Exterior wooden shutters form a decorative staircase pattern.
