#7024. Majestic Facade with Atlantes: Neoclassicism in Urban Architecture

Before us is an impressive example of architecture in the neoclassical style with Art Nouveau elements. The facade of the building demonstrates luxurious decoration with a harmonious combination of horizontal and vertical elements. Particularly expressive are the atlantes — sculpted male figures supporting the balconies of the lower tier. These elements not only serve a decorative function but also create a sense of monumentality.

The second tier of the facade is adorned with elegant arched windows with semicircular completion, above which are richly decorated wrought iron balconies with intricate ornaments. The architectural solution also includes decorative stucco elements above the windows — cartouches and mascarons, giving the building special sophistication.

The columns of the upper tier, flanking the windows, create a rhythmic structure and emphasize the vertical lines of the facade. The light, almost creamy color of the walls harmoniously contrasts with the dark forging of balcony railings, creating a balanced color composition.

Similar decorative elements can be adapted for modern facade design of a private home, using more concise versions of stucco, stylized balcony railings, or arched window elements to create an atmosphere of aristocratic elegance.
