Before us is an exquisite example of a wooden door in the Art Nouveau style, combining characteristic floral motifs and decorative elements from the early 20th century. The door is made of dark wood, creating a noble contrast with the vibrant decorative inserts.
The upper part of the door is adorned with a turquoise carved ornament in the form of stylized acanthus leaves—a favorite motif of Art Nouveau. In the central part, there is a small window with an intricate metal grating, featuring metallic floral elements and smooth intertwined lines forming an abstract pattern, reflecting the Art Nouveau philosophy with its gravitation toward natural forms.
The lower part of the door is decorated with three large carved roses in red with golden centers, beneath which is a decorative bowl or vase with a diamond-shaped ornament, also executed using golden paint. In the corners of the lower panel, there are turquoise elements that echo the upper ornament and create compositional unity.
Particular attention is drawn to the contrast between the dark base of the door and the bright elements of decor—turquoise, red, and golden—which is a characteristic feature of the decorative and applied arts of the Art Nouveau era. The door hardware, including a round brass handle and keyhole with decorative framing, also harmoniously fits into the overall style, emphasizing its sophistication and attention to detail.
