#1959. Modernist Facade with Turquoise Floral Ornaments and Wrought Iron Balcony

Before us is an exquisite example of modernist architecture with clear influences from Catalan Art Nouveau. The balcony window, framed by dark brown wooden louvered shutters, beautifully contrasts with the terracotta-red wall of the facade. Special expressiveness is added to the composition by decorative motifs in the form of stylized turquoise floral ornaments, symmetrically arranged on both sides of the balcony.

The wrought iron balcony railing demonstrates fine metalwork with elegant vertical balusters, characteristic of early 20th century modernist aesthetics. The architectural solution is complemented by graceful molded brackets in the upper part of the facade and smooth curves of white framing, creating a soft transition between various elements of the composition.

The stone base of the balcony with classical profiling adds solidity to the structure, while simultaneously emphasizing the lightness of the upper part. The entire composition reflects a masterful combination of functionality and decorativeness, characteristic of the finest examples of modernist architecture in the Mediterranean region.
