Brick Facade with Window Triptych: Soviet Architectural Aesthetics

#1086. Brick Facade with Window Triptych: Soviet Architectural Aesthetics

The image shows a fragment of a brick facade, likely from the mid-20th century. The facade is made of golden-yellow brick, creating a warm and substantial appearance for the building. The central element of the composition is a large window display with styling characteristic of many residential buildings from the Soviet period.

The window construction presents a complex composition: the central part with vertical blinds is framed by additional glazing sections. The wooden frames are painted white, contrasting with the brickwork. Around the perimeter of the window openings, traces of red paint are visible — possibly an element of the original decorative solution or preparation for further renovation.

On either side of the central window are two smaller windows with traditional opening systems. In the lower left corner of one of the side windows, a window air conditioner is installed — a modern addition to the building's historical architecture. Signs of wear on the window frames and trim are visible, giving the facade a sense of authenticity and age.

The lower part of the facade ends with a stone or concrete plinth in a light shade, which serves as a visual foundation for the entire composition. The combination of different materials — brick, wood, glass, and concrete — creates an interesting textural interplay characteristic of the utilitarian architecture of its time.
