#9738. Modern White Farmhouse Facade: Symmetry and Minimalism

The presented house is an excellent example of a modern interpretation of classic American "farmhouse" architecture. The snow-white facade with its symmetrical composition creates an impression of lightness and elegance. The gabled roof with two pediments emphasizes the symmetry of the structure and gives it a traditional appearance.

The facade is executed in a monochromatic white palette, which highlights the clean lines and architectural details. The silver-toned metal roofing adds a contemporary accent and contrasts with the white walls. Of particular note is the open porch with four columns, which creates a transitional zone between interior and exterior spaces, while also providing sun protection for the large glazed doors on the ground floor.

The second-floor window openings are designed in a traditional style with segmented divisions, adding rhythm to the facade. The central entrance is accentuated by the house number and a black hanging lamp, which serves as the only contrasting accent against the white background of the facade.

The landscaping harmonizes with the architecture: a well-maintained lawn, minimalist concrete slab pathway, and low-growing plants along the facade create a restrained yet sophisticated landscape design. The young tree on the left adds an asymmetrical accent, softening the strict geometry of the building.

To create a similar facade for your own home, consider these techniques: use a monochromatic color scheme to emphasize architectural details; arrange windows symmetrically to create a harmonious appearance; add a covered porch for functionality and aesthetics; use contrasting materials for the roof and walls; and incorporate accent lighting at the entrance to create a focal point on the facade.
