Facade #74

The photograph depicts an exquisite example of traditional Russian wooden architecture, specifically the facade of a house with characteristic carved window frames (nalichniki). The facade is painted in a rich blue color, creating a striking contrast with the white decorative elements. The image shows three windows framed by elaborate carvings in the style of traditional Russian ornamental art.

The window surrounds represent sophisticated examples of folk art, with meticulously crafted openwork elements. The upper part of each window frame is adorned with a figured cornice and decorative curls, forming a sort of "crown" above the window. The side parts of the frames are also richly decorated with geometric and floral motifs. Particularly noteworthy are the vertical carved elements on the sides of the windows, resembling columns with ornamental capitals.

Along the upper edge of the facade runs a decorative carved strip with a diamond-shaped pattern, complementing the overall composition. Such facade decoration is characteristic of regional traditions of Russian wooden architecture from the 19th to early 20th century, when master carvers created true masterpieces from ordinary wooden houses, transforming them into works of folk art.

We develop projects of facdes for private houses.
