Elegant Art Nouveau Façade with Circular Portal and Refined Stucco Work

#7385. Elegant Art Nouveau Façade with Circular Portal and Refined Stucco Work

Before us is an expressive example of an Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) façade, characterized by fluid, flowing forms and exquisite decorative elements. The central element of the composition is a circular door portal, framed by massive architectural surrounds that create a sense of organic "flow" of forms.

The rich stucco decoration above the entrance deserves special attention. The upper part of the portal is adorned with intricate floral motifs typical of early 20th century Art Nouveau. The decorative cartouche above the arch and elegant ornamental elements with smooth curves and scrolls demonstrate high craftsmanship. The contrast between the smooth surface of the wall and the relief decoration creates an interesting play of light and shadow.

The gray door with narrow vertical windows is built into a lighter circular arch, above which is the house number – 68. On the right side of the façade, there is a sign "ARZTPRAXIS," indicating that the building is used as a medical practice. The overall color scheme of the façade is maintained in neutral light gray tones, which emphasizes the plasticity and expressiveness of the architectural forms.

This façade is an excellent example of Art Nouveau architecture, where functionality harmoniously combines with decorative elements, and the fluidity of lines creates a sense of movement and life in what would otherwise be a static architectural form.
