Elegant Art Nouveau: Facade with Flowing Lines and Floral Ornamentation

#7196. Elegant Art Nouveau: Facade with Flowing Lines and Floral Ornamentation

Before us stands an exquisite example of Art Nouveau architecture showcasing sophisticated facade treatment. This two-story building features the flowing, organic lines characteristic of this style, particularly evident in the storefront windows and door frames. The facade is painted in a soft cream-yellow color that highlights the decorative elements in green and brown tones.

The ground floor features two large shop or cafe windows with curved wooden frames — a signature element of Art Nouveau. The wooden doors display elegant curves and complex glazing with characteristic asymmetrical patterns. The upper section of these storefronts is adorned with rectangular panels featuring low-relief decorations.

The second floor is marked by semi-circular windows with thin wooden frames. Particularly noteworthy is the ornate plasterwork between the windows and under the cornice — plant motifs with flowing stems and flowers typical of Art Nouveau. The brackets supporting the cornice are decorated with rich plasterwork in the form of stylized plants.

The composition is completed by an elegant balcony with metal railings combining geometric and floral motifs in an intricate pattern. When designing a facade for a modern home, similar elements can be adapted using more restrained versions of plant motifs, flowing window frame lines, or stylized metal details.
