Neoclassical Facade of a Colonial Boutique Hotel with Contrasting Architectural Elements

#7029. Neoclassical Facade of a Colonial Boutique Hotel with Contrasting Architectural Elements

The presented object is an elegant historic building converted into the boutique hotel "Mansión del Angel". The facade of the building demonstrates a magnificent example of colonial architecture, executed in a peach (ochre) color with white decorative elements that create an expressive contrast.

The architectural composition of the facade is built on classical principles of symmetry. The central part is highlighted by a grand entrance and a balcony with white balustrades. Particularly noteworthy are three large arched windows with fine glazing, framed by white archivolts and columns with decorative capitals. Such facade design creates a sense of sophistication and historical authenticity.

The building is surrounded by a decorative fence with wrought iron elements, and the entrance is marked by gates with a characteristic metal pattern. Vertical cypresses are planted along the perimeter, emphasizing the architectural verticality and creating an additional "green" frame for the building.

Facade details include numerous decorative elements: cornices, balustrades, pilasters, and stucco work characteristic of the neoclassical style. It's interesting to note the numbering on the central part of the fence (N13-134), which is likely the building's address.

For private home building, one can adopt from this example the principle of color contrast between the main tone of the walls and decorative elements, the use of symmetry, decorative balustrades and fences, as well as the technique of framing with greenery to enhance the architectural effect.
