Elegant brick facade in Art Nouveau style with Swiss chalet elements

#6997. Elegant brick facade in Art Nouveau style with Swiss chalet elements

Before us stands an expressive example of late 19th - early 20th century architecture, executed in a style that combines elements of Art Nouveau and Swiss chalet. The facade presents a masterful example of honey-yellow brickwork with decorative elements made of light gray stone, creating a striking contrast.

Of particular note is the central gable with richly decorated wooden carved elements and the characteristic chalet-style roof overhang. The facade features an asymmetrical composition with protruding bay windows and a turret with a spire, giving the building a picturesque silhouette. The magnificent arched windows with stained glass on the central axis become the focal point of the entire composition.

Throughout the perimeter of the facade, there is meticulous attention to detail: elegant cornices, decorative brackets supporting the roof overhangs, and ornamental inserts between floors. An interesting technique is the alternation of rusticated corner elements with the brick wall, giving the building both solidity and elegance.

When designing a house facade, one can borrow several techniques from this architecture: combining different materials to create textural contrast, using decorative elements on gables, thoughtful design of window openings, and playing with asymmetry of volumes to create a dynamic composition. The house is enclosed by an elegant wrought iron fence with gates, which harmoniously complements the overall architectural ensemble.
