#6196. Historical Facade with Polychrome Ceramic Frieze and Decorative Stucco

The image showcases a picturesque facade of a historical building executed in an eclectic style with elements of Art Nouveau and Neoclassicism. The facade features a symmetrical composition with a central balcony adorned with elegantly patterned wrought iron railings. On both sides of the balcony are arched windows with characteristic semi-circular tops.

The upper part of the facade is decorated with a magnificent molded cornice featuring floral ornaments and a central medallion. What gives the building its particular expressiveness is the decorative frieze depicting grape clusters and leaves, executed in ceramic tiles with vibrant polychrome painting in yellow, red, and green tones. This facade element reflects the influence of Art Nouveau style and traditional regional motifs.

Notable are the pilasters with capitals that frame the facade and emphasize its architectural articulation. Despite some signs of decay—peeling plaster and worn surfaces—the building retains its historical charm and testifies to the rich architectural heritage of the region, likely dating back to the late 19th or early 20th century.
