Orange Neoclassical Facade with Baroque Decorative Elements

#6147. Orange Neoclassical Facade with Baroque Decorative Elements

This is a magnificent example of a neoclassical facade with vibrant baroque elements. The building features a rich orange wall color that dramatically contrasts with the white decorative elements. The facade is symmetrically organized with two identical windows on the upper level, topped by elegant shell-shaped pediments crafted in light-colored stone.

Particularly noteworthy are the small semicircular balconies with finely wrought iron railings. Below the balconies are decorative consoles with sculpted masks—a classic architectural technique that adds expressiveness and dimension to the facade. The windows feature arched tops and are framed with light-colored casings.

The decorative scheme of the facade also includes floral motifs, grape clusters flanking the lower windows, and intricate stucco work around the upper windows. This richness of detail, combination of colors and textures creates an impressive example of urban architecture, likely from the late 19th or early 20th century, when eclecticism allowed architects to freely combine elements from various historical styles.
