Trefoil Window with Floral Ornamentation on an Eclectic Façade

#5808. Trefoil Window with Floral Ornamentation on an Eclectic Façade

The image showcases an exquisite example of decorative façade ornamentation in Art Nouveau or possibly Neo-Gothic style with elements of folk art. The central composition feature is a trefoil (three-lobed) window with a characteristic pointed arch form. The window opening is divided by thin partitions forming three rounded segments, typical of Gothic architecture.

The main window frame is made of light-colored stone or stucco with elegant profiling. Particularly noteworthy are the vibrant floral ornaments, symmetrically placed on both sides of the window against a white background. These painted panels contain stylized images of flowers — predominantly tulips and other plant motifs in red, orange, blue, and green hues. The ornamental design reflects the influence of folk art and brings a bright accent to the overall composition.

The roof of the building, visible at the top of the photograph, is covered with dark, presumably ceramic tiles in a blue shade, creating an expressive contrast with the light façade. The façade is also adorned with small decorative elements of relief stucco. The combination of architectural details characteristic of different styles and rich polychrome painting make this façade fragment a striking example of architectural eclecticism from the late 19th to early 20th century.
