Art Nouveau Terracotta Decor: Facade with Mythological Sirin Birds

#5807. Art Nouveau Terracotta Decor: Facade with Mythological Sirin Birds

The image shows a fragment of a historical building facade executed in the Art Nouveau style with elements of Neo-Russian direction. Particular attention is drawn to the rich terracotta decoration above the window openings. Here one can see a complex composition with mythological creatures resembling fairy-tale Sirin birds with outstretched wings, flanking rectangular cartouches.

The architectural solution includes two arched windows with semicircular tops, framed by elegant ornamental decoration featuring plant motifs and geometric elements. Below the arches are rectangular windows with clear division into sections by metal frames. The window openings are separated by light-colored wall sections, creating a rhythmic character to the facade.

The facade is adorned with pendant lights with white shades that harmoniously complement the historical architecture. The lower part of the composition is finished with a horizontal cornice with fine decorative relief, emphasizing the horizontal articulation of the facade. Such a solution is characteristic of buildings from the late 19th to early 20th century and represents a vivid example of the decorative approach to urban architecture of that period.
