Before us stands a striking example of Art Nouveau architecture with elements of Egyptian revival. The facade of building No. 18 displays an extraordinarily rich decor characteristic of the early 20th century. The lower part is designed as a storefront with an arched opening, framed by massive decorative elements.
The sculptural details deserve special attention: on both sides of the arch are impressive fantastic creatures in the form of winged dragons or serpents with expressive fan-shaped tails. The upper part of the facade is adorned with two statues in Egyptian style, installed on protruding consoles. These sculptures give the building a special elegance and mystical character.
The facade texture presents a contrasting combination of smooth sandy stucco with roughly processed stone rustication on the sides. The window frames are painted in a soft green color, creating a refined contrast with the main tone of the walls. Decorative square panels with geometric patterns are placed between windows, adding rhythm and depth to the facade.
Hanging lamps on chains in front of the storefront emphasize the commercial purpose of the ground floor and complement the overall aesthetics of the building, indicating its historical function as an elegant shop or exhibition space.
