Before us is a magnificent example of modernist architecture in the Art Nouveau style, likely the work of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí or one of his followers. The building's facade demonstrates the characteristic fluid, plastic forms reminiscent of natural motifs that define this architectural movement.
The upper part of the facade is crowned with a curved parapet featuring a green tiled roof that adds particular expressiveness to the composition. Rich stucco work covers almost the entire surface, creating the impression that the stone "flows" like a liquid. Particularly noteworthy are the wave-like elements beneath the upper windows, resembling stylized sea waves or organic forms.
The window openings of the upper tier have a characteristic oval shape, framed by flowing lines. Balconies with elegant wrought iron railings blend organically into the overall composition. Decorative sculptural elements, floral ornaments, and mascarons (decorative faces) enrich the facade, giving it an almost fairy-tale, fantastical character.
The masterful use of light-colored stone allows the interplay of light and shadow to emphasize the plasticity and dimensionality of the decorative elements. The photograph was taken during a period when the trees are bare of leaves, allowing a better view of the architectural details of this outstanding example of early 20th century modernist architecture.
