Before us stands a magnificent example of traditional Russian wooden architecture — a richly decorated facade of a log house. The structure demonstrates the highest mastery of woodcarving, characteristic of the Northern Russian architectural tradition.
The facade is constructed from horizontally laid round logs with expressive ends at the corners of the building. The central part of the composition features three symmetrically placed windows with multi-paned glazing. The central window deserves special attention, framed by an elaborate carved platband with columns and ornate scrolls. Small lion mascarons are visible on the sides of the window frame, adding a touch of imperial solemnity to the composition.
Above the central window sits an impressive carved composition depicting a double-headed eagle — a traditional imperial symbol. The area below the cornice is adorned with a patterned carved frieze featuring floral motifs. The roof is covered with green metal, creating a vibrant color contrast with the warm honey shade of the timber.
This facade represents a beautiful synthesis of folk traditions of wooden architecture and elements of classical architecture, which is characteristic of wealthy merchant and noble estates in Russia of the late 19th to early 20th century.
