#4085. Blue Facade with White Carvings: Traditional Russian Wooden Architecture

Before us stands a magnificent example of traditional Russian wooden architecture with rich carvings — the facade of house No. 42. The structure demonstrates a decorative style characteristic of Russian wooden architecture with an abundance of carved elements contrasting against the main blue background.

The facade is adorned with skillfully crafted lace-like window frames and cornices executed in white, creating an exquisite contrast with the rich blue color of the walls. The decorative elements feature complex floral and geometric patterns implemented in the technique of openwork carving. Particular attention is drawn to the window framing: each window is surrounded by an intricate carved pattern with characteristic curls and heart-shaped motifs.

The house number "42" is marked on a square white plate integrated into the decorative composition of the facade. Below the number is a carved solar symbol in the form of a sun — a traditional element with ancient roots in Slavic culture. Vertical pilasters with ornamental carvings divide the facade into sections, giving the composition rhythm and structure.

This specimen demonstrates the high craftsmanship of folk artisans and represents a valuable example of architectural heritage, in which functionality harmoniously combines with aesthetics and symbolism of folk traditions.
