Rustic facade of a log home with corner tower and panoramic windows

#3067. Rustic facade of a log home with corner tower and panoramic windows

The presented example is a magnificent specimen of traditional wooden architecture in a modern interpretation. This log house is executed in the North American "log cabin" style, but with notable influences from chalet design and elements of country architecture.

The facade of the house is distinguished by an expressive composition of volumes. Of particular note is the corner tower with its conical roof, creating an asymmetrical accent in the overall structure of the building. Large window openings with characteristic sectional divisions provide abundant natural light and visually lighten the massiveness of the log walls.

The roofing solution features a combination of materials that mimic natural tiles, harmoniously complementing the warm honey shade of the timber. The decorative elements in the gable areas deserve attention – open-type wooden truss structures add additional expressiveness to the building.

A spacious deck with wooden railings runs around the perimeter of the house, organically connecting the architecture with the surrounding landscape. The basement part of the tower is faced with natural stone, creating the effect of a solid foundation and contrasting with the wooden finishing of the upper tiers.
