Mountain chalet with dual-material facade: wood and stone harmony in Alpine style

#3055. Mountain chalet with dual-material facade: wood and stone harmony in Alpine style

This chalet-inspired residence exemplifies contemporary mountain architecture at its finest. The facade demonstrates a harmonious blend of natural materials, with warm timber composing the upper structure while dark stone cladding forms the base level, providing a visually solid foundation.

Particular attention is drawn to the steeply pitched gable with its decorative wooden sunburst detail—a characteristic element of Alpine style. The facade is adorned with impressive panoramic windows featuring arched tops, which not only provide abundant natural light to the interior spaces but also create an architectural focal point for the entire composition.

The wooden deck with simple railings extends organically from the house, offering an open space to appreciate the surrounding forest landscape. The garage doors in the lower section of the facade echo the overall design language, repeating the radiating element motif present in the upper gable.

The home is masterfully integrated into the natural environment, with coniferous trees framing the structure and emphasizing its connection to the mountain setting. The color palette of the facade—ranging from dark gray stone to honey-brown wood tones—creates a warm, inviting appearance despite the evidently cool climate of the location.

We design facades of country houses.
