Pavilion with Golden Facade: Art Nouveau Symmetry Under a Terracotta Roof

#2702. Pavilion with Golden Facade: Art Nouveau Symmetry Under a Terracotta Roof

Before us stands an expressive example of Art Nouveau architecture with elements of regional traditions. The building demonstrates an interesting combination of monumentality and decorative finesse. The facade is characterized by a symmetrical composition with three arched openings on the ground floor, creating the effect of a gallery or loggia.

The upper level of the facade is adorned with a row of five paired windows with colored stained glass, framed by laconic casings. Special expressiveness is added by the golden decorative elements — stylized rosettes positioned both between windows and on the lower tier. This technique creates a rhythmic pattern and adds refined decorativeness to the building.

The roof is high and hipped, covered with terracotta tiles, emphasizing the regional character of the architecture. A small green spire crowns the structure, adding a vertical accent to the overall composition. The walls are finished in light stucco, creating a contrast with the terracotta roof and golden decorative elements.

The lower tier of the building is executed in a more austere manner with stone masonry used to articulate the corners and foundation, visually reinforcing the structure. Information boards placed in the central opening indicate the public function of the building, likely as a city information center or pavilion.
