Elegant Art Nouveau façade with rich floral ornamentation

#2429. Elegant Art Nouveau façade with rich floral ornamentation

Before us stands a magnificent example of an Art Nouveau façade, likely dating back to the early 20th century. The entrance portal numbered 526 presents an exquisite composition where the central element consists of double wooden doors in a deep brown shade. The upper part of each door is adorned with oval stained-glass inserts featuring plant ornaments characteristic of the Art Nouveau style.

The portal framing is crafted from light-colored stone with rich stucco work. Particularly noteworthy are the floral motifs – large stylized flowers with pronounced petals, positioned above the door and along the sides of the entrance. The arched doorway is crowned with a composition of three floral rosettes, which harmoniously echoes the vertical decorative elements on both sides of the doorframe.

The flowing, fluid lines of the ornament, asymmetrical plant motifs, and overall sophistication of the composition are typical features of the Art Nouveau style. Note the contrast between the light-colored stone framing and the dark wood of the doors, which adds expressive depth to the entrance. Despite some signs of age, the façade has retained its aristocratic charm and stands as an excellent example of urban architecture from the Art Nouveau period.
