Art Nouveau Façade Element with Floral Stucco Ornamentation

#2369. Art Nouveau Façade Element with Floral Stucco Ornamentation

The image showcases an exquisite architectural element – a decorative window surround executed in the Art Nouveau style of the early 20th century. The composition features flowing, fluid lines and floral motifs characteristic of this style. The upper part of the frame is adorned with five stylized flowers resembling poppies or primroses, with clearly defined petals and central parts.

The stucco decoration is made of gypsum or plaster in a cream shade, contrasting with the textured masonry of the wall. Asymmetrical curls and curves create a dynamic composition, balanced by a central floral motif positioned between the upper large flowers. Below the main decoration, a row of five small hemispherical elements forms a kind of garland.

The window opening is covered with green louvered shutters, which add an additional color accent to the overall composition. A small crack is visible in the upper part of the decor, testifying to the age of the building. The overall impression of this façade element is an organic combination of functionality and decorative sophistication characteristic of Art Nouveau architecture.
