#2125. Art Nouveau openwork window grille with braided ornament on a historic facade

Before us is an exquisite example of artistic ironwork, representing a decorative metal window grille of a historic building. This grille demonstrates the excellent craftsmanship of metalworking in architectural decoration, characteristic of the late 19th - early 20th century.

Compositionally, the grille is divided into symmetrical sections with a repeating geometric pattern. The central elements are designed as circular medallions with quatrefoils, framed by spherical finials, creating an effect of volume and rhythm. The upper and lower registers are adorned with elegant floral motifs and volutes, typical of Art Nouveau stylistics.

On the sides of the grille, there are decorative inserts with traditional braided ornaments in blue and orange colors, adding coloristic richness and ethnic character to the composition. The entire structure is framed by a textured metal profile, which emphasizes the architectural significance of this facade detail.

One can note the fine balance between functionality (window protection) and aesthetic perfection, which is a sign of high-quality architectural work. The color scheme of the facade with terracotta and gray shades creates a winning background for highlighting the openwork metal pattern of the grille.

We develop facade projects for country houses.
