#2003. Historic façade with carved stone portal and wooden doors at No. 247

The photograph captures a magnificent entrance portal of a historic building with the address number 247. The central element of the composition is a massive wooden double door in a dark brown (reddish-brown) shade, featuring a characteristic geometric pattern of diagonal elements. Each door leaf is adorned with decorative metal ring handles and has meticulously crafted carvings.

The doorway is framed by luxurious light-colored stonework with exquisite carvings. Particularly noteworthy are the ornate floral patterns above the entrance and along the sides of the doorway — the delicate carving creates an elegant lace-like framing. The upper part of the portal is crowned with a rich sculptural frieze featuring botanical motifs.

The façade composition is enriched with vertical pilasters featuring geometric decorative inlays in diamond shapes. The bases of the pilasters are designed with half-columns with spherical elements, which adds additional plasticity and visual stability to the structure. The entire design demonstrates a high artistic level of execution and likely belongs to the rich historical development of the late 19th — early 20th century.
