Floating Contrast Facade with Yellow Accents and Perforated Brick Base

#19063. Floating Contrast Facade with Yellow Accents and Perforated Brick Base

This modern house is a striking example of minimalist architecture with contrasting elements. The upper volume of the building is designed as a white horizontal parallelepiped that seems to float above the ground floor. The facade of the second floor features a wide panoramic window band with evenly spaced dark vertical frames, broken up by bright yellow shutters that add a dynamic accent and playfulness to the monochromatic composition.

The lower level of the house is executed using perforated terracotta brickwork, creating a semi-transparent structure that simultaneously provides privacy and visual lightness to the foundation. This solution also ensures natural ventilation of the lower space. The contrast between the geometrically strict white upper volume and the textured brick base creates an expressive architectural composition.

When designing the facade of a private house, several techniques from this project could be adopted: using contrasting materials for different levels of the building, applying color accents to enliven minimalist architecture, playing with transparency and opacity of elements, and creating a "floating" volume effect to give lightness to massive structures.
