Floating Glass Facade: Modern Minimalism in a Concrete Frame

#18931. Floating Glass Facade: Modern Minimalism in a Concrete Frame

This modern house represents a brilliant example of minimalist architecture with an emphasis on transparency and connection to the surrounding environment. The building's facade is characterized by bold use of floor-to-ceiling glass panels that create an impression of lightness and weightlessness of the upper floor. The concrete structure with clean horizontal lines serves as a perfect frame for the glass front, demonstrating an elegant contrast of materials.

The upper level of the house seems to float above the lower one thanks to the cantilevered projection, beneath which a garage is located. The flat roof with a slight overhang gives the structure a finished look while simultaneously protecting the glass facade from direct sunlight. Particularly impressive is the facade design with sliding glass partitions that completely erase the boundary between interior and exterior space.

The architectural solution with an open ground floor creates a sense of permeability and lightness of the entire structure. Concrete surfaces are left in their natural state, emphasizing the industrial aesthetic and creating an interesting visual dialogue with the surrounding greenery. In home architecture, a similar approach with large glass surfaces can be used to maximize natural lighting and create a visual connection with the garden, while the combination of raw concrete and glass will give any facade a contemporary and sophisticated character.

We create facade design of country houses.
