#1865. Blue Colonial Facade with Relief Decoration and Terracotta Roofing

The presented facade solution demonstrates a magnificent example of colonial architecture with clear Spanish-Portuguese influences. The building is painted in a soft blue color, which emphasizes its decorative elements executed in white.

The facade features rich relief ornamentation. Particularly expressive are the ornamental bas-reliefs in the form of flower baskets, symmetrically placed between the window openings. The windows are framed with strict casings and equipped with traditional wooden shutters in a greenish hue, which is characteristic of tropical climates, providing natural ventilation and protection from the sun.

The upper floor is adorned with an elegant balcony with a classical balustrade and arched windows, giving the building a special elegance. The roof is made of distinctive terracotta tiles in a golden-yellow shade, forming a pronounced cornice with decorative wooden brackets painted in brown.

The architectural composition of the facade is strictly symmetrical and vertically rhythmic, creating a sense of harmony and order. This style is typical of colonial buildings in port cities of Latin America or the Caribbean, combining European architectural traditions with adaptations to the local climate.
