Luxurious Moorish facade with horseshoe arch and polychrome decoration

#1843. Luxurious Moorish facade with horseshoe arch and polychrome decoration

Before us is a magnificent example of Islamic architecture with rich decorative interior design. The composition features an exquisitely adorned portal with a horseshoe arch executed in the Moorish style. The facade demonstrates the typical Islamic architectural attention to detail and ornamental richness.

The upper part is decorated with a luxurious frieze featuring muqarnas — stalactite-like elements rendered in golden, blue, and red tones. Below it runs a band with calligraphic inscription on a red background — likely a quote from the Quran or another significant phrase, executed in traditional Arabic style.

The main part of the facade is adorned with intricate floral patterns (arabesque) with predominantly blue background and golden botanical motifs. The central horseshoe arch is framed with a scalloped edge and leads to a window with complex stained glass through which light penetrates. The side panels maintain the same style as the central part, creating a harmonious composition.

In the lower section, a partial view of a staircase with delicate railings is visible, executed in a more subdued color palette but maintaining the geometric complexity characteristic of Islamic decorative art. The contrast between the richly decorated facade and the more austere architectural elements creates a balanced composition, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship.
