Modernist Façade with Mosaic Decoration and Pointed Arch Windows

#1838. Modernist Façade with Mosaic Decoration and Pointed Arch Windows

The image shows a fragment of a façade in Art Nouveau or Neo-Gothic style with characteristic pointed twin windows. The elegant arched openings are framed with light-colored stone, creating a clear contrast with the dark wooden window frames. Above each window are ornate wooden panels with decorative carvings that serve not only as decorative elements but also as functional ventilation solutions.

Particularly noteworthy is the mosaic decoration of the upper part of the façade, executed in bright shades of blue, green, yellow, and pink. The mosaic presents a complex composition with floral motifs, including stylized flowers, leaves, and orange fruit elements, possibly oranges. Such color and textural solution is characteristic of Catalan Modernisme (Art Nouveau), reminiscent of the works of Antoni Gaudí and his followers.

The lower part of the windows is equipped with wrought iron railings with flowing lines, which is another typical element of Art Nouveau, emphasizing the organic nature of forms. The combination of functionality and artistic expressiveness in every detail makes this façade a vivid example of late 19th - early 20th century architecture, where traditional Gothic elements are reinterpreted through the lens of a new style.
