Mediterranean facade with three-part windows and turquoise stained glass

#16438. Mediterranean facade with three-part windows and turquoise stained glass

This facade fragment represents an excellent example of Mediterranean architecture with distinct modernist influences. The light limestone masonry creates a solid foundation characteristic of traditional Levantine construction. Particularly noteworthy are the vertically organized window openings forming a rhythmic composition on the facade.

The windows have a three-part vertical division: the upper part is adorned with patterned blue shutters featuring decorative geometric lattice, the middle section presents exquisite stained glass panels with green floral ornaments, and the lower part is again framed by blue wooden shutters. Such facade design with color accents creates a dynamic visual effect while protecting the interior from the scorching sun.

The stained glass elements with turquoise-green motifs demonstrate the influence of Art Nouveau and local decorative traditions. The lower part of the composition is complemented by decorative hanging elements that create an interesting play of shadows. The partially visible tree branch adds an organic quality to the strict geometry of the architectural solution.

For modern house construction, this example offers several interesting techniques: vertical zoning of window openings, use of local color accents, combination of functional elements (shutters) with decorative ones (stained glass), as well as harmonious combination of traditional materials with bright artistic inserts.
