Before us stands an impressive clock tower executed in Neo-Romanesque style with elements of brick Gothic. The structure demonstrates a masterful use of contrasting materials: red brick effectively combines with white plaster, creating an expressive facade design with clear articulation of architectural elements.
The upper part of the tower is crowned with an elegant four-sided roof featuring a geometric pattern of colored tiles – orange diamonds against a dark background give the structure special decorative quality. A metal weathervane tops the composition, adding a vertical accent and historical authenticity.
The clock tier deserves special attention, where a round dial with Roman numerals is set within an arched opening with white framing. Symmetrically positioned to the clock face is a circular window, creating a balanced composition. Between these elements, small emerald-green tiles are visible, adding a color accent and emphasizing the craftsmanship in the elaboration of details.
The lower part of the tower demonstrates a rhythmic alternation of arched elements and brick projections, forming a characteristic decorative cornice. This technique gives the structure monumentality and elegance at the same time.
When designing modern facades, several techniques from this historical example can be adopted: contrasting combinations of materials with different colors and textures, using architectural details to create rhythm, highlighting functional elements with decorative framing, and adding small accent elements to give individuality to the building.
