This exquisite portal represents a magnificent example of Art Nouveau style in architecture. The entrance group is designed as a decorative arch with smooth, flowing lines characteristic of this style. The upper part of the portal is adorned with a trefoil motif containing circular elements that display the building numbers (63 and 252). The central element of the trefoil has a more elongated shape, resembling a leaf or droplet.
Particularly noteworthy are the sculptural elements at the lower part of the frame—stylized plant motifs in the form of large leaves or waves, which create an organic transition between the strict geometry of the building and the decorative portal. The metal entrance gate itself is painted in a delicate greenish shade and decorated with geometric ornaments featuring Greek motifs in the lower section, as well as vertical bars that lend lightness and elegance to the structure.
The building facade is made of light-colored stone, creating an elegant contrast with the metallic elements of the gate. On both sides of the entrance, windows reflecting the bluish sky add harmony and completeness to the composition. This architectural element demonstrates how a functional part of a building (entrance) can be transformed into a genuine work of art.
When designing a modern facade, several techniques can be borrowed from this example: the use of smooth, organic forms around the entrance group, contrasting combination of materials (stone and metal), stylized plant motifs to soften the building's geometry, and a thoughtful color scheme that highlights architectural details. It's also important to maintain proportionality of details and overall harmony in the composition.
