#1606. Elegant Art Nouveau mansion facade with decorative columns and balcony

Before us stands an exquisite example of Art Nouveau architectural refinement, embodied in the elegant facade of a city mansion. Particularly noteworthy is the decorative treatment of the window opening with a semi-circular balcony. Six graceful columns with richly decorated capitals, adorned with floral ornaments, create a rhythmic structure supporting the balcony.

The filigree stonework deserves special attention: the balcony balustrade is decorated with delicate ornamental patterns featuring botanical motifs, while a decorative lattice with floral elements and garlands is placed beneath the windows. The upper part of the facade is framed by a skillfully executed cornice with a repeating plant-based pattern.

In modern private construction, similar techniques can be adapted using contemporary materials: stylized columns, decorative elements made of fiber-reinforced concrete or polyurethane, and wrought iron elements for balustrades. Even partial application of such decorative solutions can give a home individuality and artistic value, referencing classical architectural traditions.
