Dynamic façade with perforated sunshades

#15672. Dynamic façade with perforated sunshades

Before us is an impressive example of modern architecture with an expressive façade solution. The building presents a white minimalist surface enlivened by a series of protruding volumetric elements in the form of boxes with perforated metal panels. These black decorative screens create a striking visual effect, playing with light and shadow, casting complex geometric patterns onto the white façade.

Particular attention is drawn to the rhythmic arrangement of window elements—they are positioned in a checkerboard pattern, giving the façade dynamism and spatial depth. The perforated screens serve a dual function: they provide protection from direct sunlight while simultaneously acting as a strong decorative element, forming the building's unique identity. Behind them, large panoramic windows with bluish glazing can be seen, ensuring abundant natural lighting for the interior spaces.

The contrast between the white base of the façade and the black perforated screens creates a memorable image, distinguishing the building from its surroundings. This approach to façade design illustrates how functional elements (sun protection) can be transformed into a key aesthetic feature of the building.

In private construction, similar techniques can be adapted on a smaller scale: using perforated panels to create plays of light and shadow on the façade, applying contrasting materials and textures, and rhythmically arranging window openings. Even small decorative screens can significantly enrich the visual perception of a building while solving functional tasks of sun protection and ensuring privacy.
