Facade #149

The image showcases a magnificent example of traditional German half-timbered architecture, likely located in one of the historic settlements of southern Germany. The dominant building features the characteristic half-timbered construction with a wooden framework filled with light-colored plaster, creating an expressive contrast between dark and light elements.

Particularly striking is the massive steep roof made of terracotta tiles with several dormer windows, typical for the Alpine region. The roof occupies almost half of the entire structure's height, which provided additional living space and reliable protection from precipitation. The main facade of the building demonstrates the classic half-timbered structure with vertical, horizontal, and diagonal wooden elements forming geometric patterns against the light background of plaster.

The lower floor is distinguished by an arcade with an open gallery, emphasizing the public purpose of this space. The windows of the upper floors are evenly distributed across the facade, creating an orderly rhythm. A stone wall with climbing plants runs along the perimeter of the building's foundation, harmoniously integrating the structure into the surrounding landscape.

In the background, other smaller half-timbered buildings can be seen, forming a typical architectural ensemble of a German village situated in a mountain valley. The context of the building emphasizes its historical authenticity and functional adaptation to local climatic conditions and building traditions.

We develop facade projects for country houses.
