Eclectic Façade from 1903 with Baroque Gable and Contrasting Decor

#14302. Eclectic Façade from 1903 with Baroque Gable and Contrasting Decor

Before us stands a striking example of early 20th century architecture, as evidenced by the date "1903" carved on the façade. The building is executed in a style that can be characterized as late eclectic with elements of Art Nouveau and Neo-Renaissance. The façade is painted in a warm peach color with contrasting red-terracotta framing of details, creating an expressive architectural appearance.

The composition of the façade is symmetrical and has a clear three-part vertical division, crowned by a characteristic baroque gable with curved contours. Particularly notable are the decorative elements: stucco mascarons above the central window of the second floor and in the upper part of the pediment, arched windows on the first floor, as well as rhythmic rectangular windows of the upper floors with elegant casings.

The multi-layered plasticity of the façade is achieved through protruding cornices, pilasters, and window frames, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow. When designing the façade of a modern house, one can adopt the use of contrasting colors to emphasize architectural details, symmetrical arrangement of window openings, and decorative design of the central part.
