#13926. Historical brick facade with arched windows and rich ornamentation

Before us is a magnificent example of brick architecture from the late 19th to early 20th century, likely belonging to the eclectic style with elements of Neo-Russian motifs. The facade showcases the richness of decorative ornamentation and the mastery of brickwork characteristic of this period. Particularly noteworthy are the four arched windows, organized into two symmetrical blocks with semicircular tops.

The upper part of the facade is adorned with an exquisite brick cornice featuring geometric ornaments and decorative elements, creating an effect of lightness despite the massiveness of the material. Above each pair of windows is a decorative field with a circular medallion resembling a sun or rosette – an element commonly found in classical architecture.

The lower part of the facade is decorated with a row of decorative panels featuring floral motifs, adding organicity and variety to the composition. Special attention is drawn to the skillful work with texture and color of the brick – terracotta and reddish hues create a warm, vibrant surface that changes depending on the lighting.

This approach to facade design demonstrates how traditional material can be used to create a complex, detailed architectural composition. In modern private construction, similar techniques can be adapted through the use of figured masonry, decorative inserts, and thoughtful color schemes, allowing one to create a home with character and historical depth.

We design facades of country houses.
