Two-tone facade with traditional gables and arched passageway

#13901. Two-tone facade with traditional gables and arched passageway

Before us stands an impressive example of early 20th century urban architecture, where traditional elements combine with functional solutions. The building's facade presents a harmonious blend of brickwork in the lower section and plastered surface above, creating an interesting contrast of textures and materials.

Particularly noteworthy are the characteristic gabled pediments with golden-orange wooden framing that give the building its recognizable silhouette. The bay windows protruding along the central axis of the facade not only increase the usable area of interior spaces but also create an expressive architectural accent. The windows are framed in the same warm wooden tone as the pediments, ensuring color unity throughout the composition.

The lower level of the building is constructed from red brick featuring an arch that creates a passage through the building. This arch serves not only as a functional element but also as an architectural feature that adds monumentality to the structure. Small decorative panels on either side of the arch bring an element of artistic design to the utilitarian structure.

When designing the facade of your own home, several techniques from this example could be borrowed: contrasting combination of materials, highlighting architectural elements with color, using bay windows for visual diversity and functional expansion of space, as well as thoughtful decorative design of the entrance area.

Design the facade of your home.
