#1339. Modernist Facade with Turquoise Accents: Ornamental Luxury of Catalan Modernisme

This magnificent example of early 20th century modernist architecture, likely in the Catalan Modernisme style, showcases the characteristic combination of elegant decorativeness and functionality typical of this architectural movement.

The upper part of the facade is crowned with an exquisite openwork parapet featuring geometric ornaments that create a light silhouette against the blue sky. Below this runs a band with delicate relief decorations in blue tones, giving the building a special artistic expressiveness.

The central section of the facade is adorned with fine floral ornaments executed in light stucco, creating the effect of lace fabric. Particularly impressive are the decorative elements above the window openings – lush floral compositions characteristic of the Art Nouveau style.

The window frames are painted in a rich turquoise color that harmoniously contrasts with the light surface of the walls. On the left, an open window with shutters is visible, while on the right is a closed window with shutters of the same shade.

The balcony with its elegant wrought iron railing in the form of wave-like spirals adds lightness and grace to the facade. The cast iron work demonstrates high craftsmanship and the fluid lines characteristic of the Modernist style.

Overall, the facade represents an excellent example of the organic combination of decorative and functional elements, where each detail is part of a unified artistic concept reflecting the aesthetics of its era.
