Before us stands an impressive example of modern architecture, where a modular composition creates a dramatic dialogue between various volumes. The facade of this country house presents a harmonious combination of contrasting materials: warm wood, cold glass, and brutal stone. Particularly expressive is the composition of three main volumes of different heights, each with its own character of finishing.
The right part of the building is clad with horizontal wooden panels in a warm reddish hue, giving the structure an organic quality and connecting the architecture with the surrounding forest landscape. The central volume effectively projects forward, forming a cantilever, and is distinguished by maximum glazing, creating a sense of lightness and transparency. The left part of the composition is characterized by dynamic glazing with visible internal stairwells, adding depth and rhythm to the facade.
The lower level of the building is partially constructed from natural stone, visually "grounding" the structure and creating a sense of a solid foundation. The contrast between the stone base and the light upper floors enhances the impression of the architectural solution. The extensive glazing not only provides the interiors with natural light but also creates an effect of interpenetration between internal and external spaces.
In your own project, several techniques from this building could be adopted: combining contrasting materials to create an expressive facade texture; using modularity and shifting volumes to form a dynamic composition; large-format glazing as a way to visually lighten large volumes; application of natural materials that resonate with the surrounding landscape.
