Coastal villa with airy facade and integrated pergola

#10936. Coastal villa with airy facade and integrated pergola

This exquisite coastal pavilion exemplifies modern tropical architecture, where the primary focus is on the harmonious interaction between interior and exterior spaces. The white pergola structure with its geometric pattern serves not only as a functional element providing protection from the sun but also creates an interesting play of light and shadow on the wooden deck.

The facade of the main building, visible in the background, is executed in a classic island style with elements of contemporary interpretation. The characteristic dark gabled roof contrasts with the white columns and walls, most of which are replaced with panoramic windows, maximizing the ocean view and ensuring abundant natural light. This transparency of the facade blurs the boundary between the interior space and the surrounding nature.

The design employs the technique of separating functional zones: the dining area under the pergola, a relaxation area with loungers, and the main living space. At the same time, unity of architectural language is maintained through recurring elements — white structures, natural wood, and geometric forms.

For your own home, several techniques could be adopted: using a pergola as an element that unifies interior and exterior; combining contrasting materials (wood, white structures, glass); integrating plants into the home's structure through special planters and podiums; and maximizing the use of panoramic glazing to expand visual space.
