The Asuntomessut House Exhibition will be held from August 3 to 30, 2020, near Helsinki. Families will move into 41 houses after closing
The format of the Finnish housing fair Asuntomessut — is to create a new residential district of the city of modern houses built specifically for families who will live there after the fair closes. The district is designed for 400-500 people. Every year the location changes as well as the exhibitors, developers, types, and number of homes.
In 2020 in the Rykmentinpuisto Tuusulassa neighborhood will have 41 houses built, mostly one-family, several townhouses and 2 apartment buildings. The technologies are different: clay blocks, laminated beams, frame houses and concrete houses with fixed formwork. Here's a map and list of exhibitors.
Since the homes will be fully finished, including the interior, it's a good opportunity to see and touch them live and find the right solutions for architecture, materials, furnishings and landscaping. In addition to exhibit housing, the Housing Fair has exhibit halls and outdoor spaces where interior designers and furniture manufacturers will showcase their work.
The fair has already been moved from July to August because of the coronavirus pandemic. If the fair cannot be done in August (as it ranks over 500 public events), a smaller attendance format will be offered for late fall. In addition, for 10 euros the exhibition can be visited remotely in VR format
