St. Petersburg expands the approved color palette for painting facades. Brighter shades have been added
The Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of St. Petersburg has expanded the facade-painting palette that was approved more than 50 years ago. To the 40 colors of the 1966 Leningrad palette, 74 more colors have been added. Parameters such as saturation, lightness, brightness and tonality were taken into account.
The committee recommends using this color database when repairing or reconstructing the facades of buildings in the city, in order to create a unified architectural appearance.
