The exhibition “Architecture of the Spirit”. Final of the Open City Festival
From November 14 to 17, the A.V. Shchusev Museum of Architecture invites you to the exhibition “Architecture of the Spirit” - the finale of the annual Open City festival. The exhibition is centered on philosophical reflections on sacred spaces and human spiritual reference points, presented through the “mysterious garden” project, which combines contemporary architectural ideas.
The projects, curated by leading architectural firms including SPICH, KAMEN, and MAD Architects, offer a glimpse into the role of architecture in conceptualizing good and evil. St. Anna Lutheran Church (Annenkirche) and architect Polina Svetozarova will also present their ideas.
A special exhibit will be Alexander Brodsky's etching laboratory, which explores the technique of deep visual effects on paper.
Purpose and program of the festival
“Open City” is initiated by Moscow's chief architect Sergey Kuznetsov to involve architecture students in real projects with leading experts. The program includes lectures, workshops and excursions, concluding with an exhibition as a result of joint research. The festival is organized by the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of the City of Moscow (MOSCOMARCHITECTURE) with the support of the agency “Rules of Communication”.
The exhibition is free of charge, but requires pre-registration.
