Before us is a modern duplex located in a picturesque mountainous area. The architectural solution represents an interesting example of a contemporary interpretation of country living with a distinctly contrasting façade.
The building's façade demonstrates a harmonious combination of different materials and textures: white plaster on the main walls creates a clean visual canvas on which accents of vertical dark metal panels on the gables and warm wooden inserts around the entrance areas and windows are layered. This three-part contrast — white-black-wood — gives the building a modern yet cozy appearance.
The architectural form of the duplex features asymmetrical gabled roofs that create a dynamic silhouette and emphasize the individuality of each of the two residential units. Large panoramic windows not only provide abundant natural light to the interior spaces but also establish a visual connection between the interior and the surrounding mountain landscape.
Special attention should be paid to the thoughtful zoning of the plot. The wooden fence and raised terrace with a stone retaining wall create a clear separation between the private territory and the surrounding space. The wooden staircase organically connects different levels of the territory.
When designing your own façade, you can adopt several techniques from this project: contrasting combination of materials to create visual interest, use of natural wood to soften modern forms, highlighting entrance areas and window openings with materials of different texture and color, as well as careful planning of transitions between various levels of the site.
